Débroussaillage et plans * Work and Plans - Semaine/Week 4 (9/09/06)
Le week end a bien commencé pour moi. J'ai posé ma premiere dalle béton, ..., chez un copain. J'aurai bien voulu que ce soit a Reundrez, mais a mon avis c'est pas demain la veille. Il va d'abord falloir enlever quelques metre cubes de terre dans les granges.Le but du week end était de réflechir à tête reposée sur les plans de la petite maison et principalement sur la plomberie.
***The weekend got off to a great start for Fabrice as he laid his first cement slab!........at a friends place. He would have liked for it to be at Reundrez, but we're not quite at cementing stage yet. There's a good 20-30cm of earth to be dug out and leveled in the garage and shed before we can think of putting a slab down.
Our goal this weekend was to have a brainstorming session over the workings of the future plumbing in the cottage - (see photo :).
Apres ce brainstorming intensif, nous sommes retournés a nos menu travaux, un peu de débroussaillage et de délierrage.
Le haut du terrain est maintenant présentable. Nous n'avons quasiment plus de ronce ni de fougeres dans cette partie. Il a fallu deux jours plein pour venir a bout de toute cette brousse.
***Sunday afternoon saw a return to the hard yakka of brush-clearing and deivy-ing. After two days dedicated to the task, fabrice whipper-snipped until the very back of the property, unveiling a lovely backyard free from brambles and heath which will one day become our huge vege garden!
La journée s'est terminé par une belle surprise! Maman est arrivé avec un beau cadeau pour nous! Une débroussailleuse! Je sais pas pourquoi, mais elle n'a pas mis long a être utilisée!
***Sunday Surprises - a gleaming new whipper-snipper offered to us by Fabrice's mum! It didn't stay clean for very long as Fabrice got stuck into the brambles hiding the west side of the house... (yes, the big mass of green stuff in front of Fabrice is actually the ivy covered roof and walls!!!).
