The Wall / Un peu de bois
Le temps n'est pas vraiment a la fete en ce moment, c'est pourquoi Darrah a décidé de rester a l'intérieur manger ce que mama lui cuisine. Ca peut se comprendre :)
Crappy weather at the moment, so Darrah's staying inside and helping with the stir fry.
C'est parti, nous avons commencé a monter les murs de l'extension. Enfin un mur. L'autre se trouve toujours par terre. Il y eu un peu de suspense à un moment parce que la ceinture béton se trouvant sur le haut du mur nord en pierre se trouve décallé de 30 cm par rapport a la limite de la dalle. Bref, sans rentrer dans trop de détails, nous allons faire un mur de 60cm d'épaisseur au nord.
Voici quelques photos de la journée.
*A long-awaited WALL is finally in place. We were dissapointed to see that it's place on the cement slab didn't line-up with the cement belt on top of the stone wall. As a result, we had to move the wooden structure south by 30cm, and will fill out the north wall later, giving us a total wall-width of 60cm (and a convienient cupboard space inside the kitchen). The first part of the west wall is still in construction.
Shane helped a bit in the morning but doesn't feature in the photos. It's hard to juggle babies and building...
