Et la lumière fut * And then there was light - Semaine/Week 18 (16/12/06)
Et encore un autre week end à hanvec.
Plus on s'approche de la fin, et plus celle ci semble s'éloigner. Les finitions ne veulent pas finir. Elles portent vraiment mal leur nom! Mais bon, il y atout de même eu du travail de fait.
Pour commencer le meuble évier est posé et bien posé. Le réducteur de pression est en place. Et oui, ça n'a pas que des désaventages de se retrouver dans une cuvette. Au moins on est servi en pression d'eau. Les pleintes et les champlats sont posés dans la salle de bain. Il ne reste qu'un peu de béton a couler pour fignoler la partie donnant sur l'evacuation des eaux usées. Pour en finir avec la salle de bain, un petit ventilo a été posé pour évacuer l'humidité du à la douche (on en profitera pour évacuer les mauvaises odeurs si les invités n'y pensent pas eux même :)
Et enfin l'élec est quasi finie. Pour preuve cette jolie petite lampe de 60 Watt maximum qui ne dispense pas assez de lumière! Il va falloir bidouiller quelque chose la semaine prochaine pour avoir un éclairage un peu plus important.
*Another weekend at Hanvec. (Is there a note of tiredness in fab's entry..?) I translate: The closer we get to the end, the further it seems from us. The 'last finishing touches' are something of a misnommer, given the fact that they never seem to finish! Always some little job still waiting to be done. Poor Fabrice - and we havn't even started on the big house yet !!!!!
This weekend saw the sink firmly screwed in place, the pressure-reducer put on the water pipes (we had enough pressure to put out a fire 2 km away from our backyard!), architraves and skirting boards nailed on, and a little electric ventilator installed in the bathroom for getting rid of steam and bad smells. We just need a wee bit of cement to finish off the sewrage pipe outlet under the stairs.
And the electricity is (pretty much) finished! It would be finished but that 4 X 60 watt economy bulbs don't seem to cut the cheese in the main living space and so we're looking at going more powerful, or adding a bulb or two.
Autre grande nouvelle, notre térassier préféré s'est mis à l'oeuvre et ça dégage sec. C'est impressionant ces petites machines la. J'en veut une pour noël!!
Shane a quant à elle contacté un couvreur qui va passer nous mettre nos champignons sur le toît pour les sorties d'aération.
*Mr Soubigou has finally got cracking on our sewrage system and it's true that it's an impressive sight to see. (Fab says that he wouldn't mind a motor like his for christmas : ) I've been in contact with a roofing specialist who came around to inspect the site and will soon be back to put two 'mushrooms' on our roof, airation vents for the bathroom ventilator and the extractor over the stove.
